For Certification, Re-Certification, and Compliance
When choosing a training vendor, consider these questions:
Are you adequately prepared to undergo a CAP inspection at any time?
Do you comply with all agency regulations required for shipping specimens by air and ground?
Does your current service provider or in-house team have a documented training and or safety program?
Do you or your current provider have a dedicated medical specific training coordinator?
Does your current training program utilize different learning methods to ensure comprehension, such as videos, remote testing and supervised in-field training?
Would you like to work with a company that stresses the importance of continuing industry training and requires employee recertification every quarter?
Are you currently equipped to package and safely ship infectious substances?
Do you have the assurance all persons handling your specimens have undergone the appropriate background and MVR checks?
Does your provider customize its training program to include requirements specific to your needs?
Do you provide, or know how to access, the DOT-required training for collectors and BAT qualification?
Are you prepared to handle unusual circumstances such as a donor unable to sign paperwork due to hand injuries?
Have you had the mandatory training, required of all DOT-regulated companies, regarding drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion?
Have your supervisors had the proper required training to be qualified to identify the signs and behaviors, which might be indicators of drug or alcohol use?
Have you educated your employees about the effects alcohol or drug abuse can have on their work performance and safety?
